EAB Conference on Biometric Data and the GDPR

Biometric data use is an interdisciplinary challenge. The focus of this first conference is the discussion of the application of the new legal framework for the processing of biometric data imposed by the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, both in theory and in practice. The aim of the conference is to bring various stakeholders together, including the legal and technical academic biometric community, policymakers, governments, businesses and legal professions. Both challenges, best practices and opportunities will be discussed and illustrated.
